Description
This course is an introduction to the Summit WM-Series WLAN Switch and the Altitude AP, which comprises the Summit WM Wireless Solution.
Audience
This course is designed for individuals responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of the wireless solution.
Prerequisites
A working familiarity with LAN concepts, including basic Ethernet and TCP/IP is required.
Objectives
Students Learn to:
- Identify Extreme Networks wireless solutions
- Identify the components of the Summit WM wireless solution
- Install the Summit WM solution hardware and software
- Setup Summit AP Access Domains
- Describe AP discovery and registration
- Configure a Summit WM to work with a RADIUS sever
- Plan the use and setup of Dynamic RF Management (DRM) (formerly called AutoCell)
- Discuss licensing concepts and regulatory domains
- Discuss system management, logging and reporting capabilities of the Summit WM solution
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on the Summit WM solution
